Anna M. (Toner) Weaver

Anna M. Weaver, 86, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born February 25, 1929 in the Walnut/Nook area of Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Kepner) Toner. Her husband, Earl “Pete” Weaver, Sr. preceded her in death on February 10, 1994.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by: a stillborn brother, Jonas Toner; a daughter, Edith Lane in 1949; a son, Robert Lane, in 2007; and a sister Myrtle Rothrock. 

Anna is survived by:  her children, John Lane and wife, Sharon, Anna “Penny” Beers and husband, Sam, and Earl “Pete” Weaver, Jr. and wife, Billi, all of Lewistown; grandchildren, Matthew Lane, Holly Carbaugh and husband, Brett, William Lane, Sammy Beers, Wesley Beers and wife, Heather, and William Earl Weaver; and her sisters, Mary Jane Blough and husband, Herbert, and Thelma Mae Franks, both of Elizabethtown.

Anna was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Mifflin County School District from 1976 until her retirement in June, 2008.

Anna was a member of the Lewistown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her roses, and feeding birds.  She was one heck of a cook and cherished Sunday meals with her family.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 10:00 a.m., at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Rev. John Looney officiating.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
