Ethel M. Dillman, 85, of Lewistown died at 6:12 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 1, 1931 in McClure, she was a daughter of the late Carrie (Aurand) and John L. Sheriff.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Marvin L. “Luckie” Dillman, on Nov. 29, 2013; her daughter, Nancy Mayhue Ferster; infant children, Roger, Danny and Kathy Mayhue; a brother, Milton Sheriff; and a sister, Helen Goss.
She is survived by: her daughter, Tammy Mayhue Cherry and husband, Charles, of Lewistown; son-in-lawn, Dennis Ferster, of Richfield; grandchildren, William E. Smoker, Amanda Strauser and husband, Joseph, and Karen L. Cherry; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Houser, Allete Hockenberry, Aubry Strauser and Quentin Phillips.
Earlier in life, she had worked at the American Viscose, and then retiring from White Container.
Ethel was a member of First Baptist Church of Juniata County
She enjoyed time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, cooking and reading.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23 at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown with Rev. Phillip Persing officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
