Kathleen O. Hackett, 95, of Burnham passed away at 4:26 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Golden Living Center – William Penn.
Born June 3, 1920 in Yeagertown she was a daughter of the late Isaac D. and Olive E. (Moore) Steffen.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fern A. Hackett, Sr., on Dec. 28, 1996 and a brother James E. Steffen.
She is survived by: sons, Fern A. Hackett, Jr, of Tennessee and Mark S. Hackett and wife, Joanne, of Selinsgrove; siblings, Ruth S. Henry, of Lewistown, Harold T. Steffen and wife, Pattie, of Florida; grandchildren, Tony Hackett and wife, Rebecca, of Hummelstown, Jonathan Gunn and wife, Jennifer, of Chicago and Jessica Hackett and companion, Jean Charles Scottis, of Lyon, France; and great-grandchildren, Alexander Hackett and Samantha Hackett of Hummelstown.
Kathleen was a 1938 graduate of Yeagertown High School.
She was a seamstress for multiple clothing factories and enjoyed retirement for many years.
She was a protestant by faith and a charter member of the McClure Legion.
Kathleen enjoyed reading, loved flowers, especially violets.
All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will take place in Salem Cemetery.
Memorials in Kathleen’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
All arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
